We inform visitors that it is strictly forbidden:
• the entry of people who are under the influence of substances (alcoholic beverages, drugs)
• any behavior, attire or activity, which is not compatible with the character of the archaeological site and the museum
• moving and leaving the archaeological site /museum, as well as any kind of deterioration of ancient work (e.g. stone, clay, metal, etc.). Violators are strictly prosecuted, in accordance with the provisions of the archaeological law (L. 4858/2021)
• the collection, removal or damage of any object, natural or modern
• the pollution of any kind
• the consumption of food and drinks, as well as smoking
• the photography/videography of indecent or defamatory scenes
• the entry of animals, except for dogs accompanying people with disabilities (the prohibition applies only to the Acropolis and the Slopes, the Kerameikos, as well as the Museums
At the same time, visitors to archaeological sites and museums, as well as tour guides, must:
• comply with the instructions and suggestions of the staff
• follow the markings and configured routes
• not enter roped off areas
• not touch the artistic creations that are incorporated into monuments or exhibited in the space or the museum, to be particularly careful at the points that are dangerous, either due to the physical formation of the ground, or due to the execution of works.
For the archaeological sites, it is recommended to use footwear suitable for hiking
