Urgent announcement (31.08.2026): As part of the preparations for the forthcoming filming on the Acropolis, which forms part of an initiative of particular historical and symbolic significance undertaken in collaboration with the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO) and international partners, a limited number of organisational and operational arrangements will be introduced at specific points within the archaeological site and along visitor routes from 1 to 6 September.

These arrangements form part of the preparations necessary to ensure that filming can proceed safely and smoothly and will primarily concern the management of visitor movement and the temporary reconfiguration of specific areas within the site.

They will be implemented gradually and in a manner designed to ensure the orderly operation of the archaeological site while keeping any inconvenience to visitors to an absolute minimum. Throughout the preparatory work, particular care will be taken to safeguard the monuments, ensure the safety of visitors, and respect the unique character of the Acropolis and its monumental ensemble. All related activities will be carried out under the supervision of the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens and in coordination with the authorities, organisations, and participants involved.
