- REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATE AGREEMENT The multifaceted work of the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens concerns, as dictated by archaeological jurisprudence, the restoration, disclosure, protection, preservation, study, publication, promotion of Greek archaeological sites and monuments (real and movable) as well as the processing of numerous administrative cases which concern the whole of the cultural wealth of our country. This goal for the Ephorate of Athens is of pivotal importance both for the status of the monuments themselves, and for the educational character they should play in society, as “visible pieces of history” in the words of the German archaeologist E. Buschor.
  - DESIGN PROJECTS OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES, MUSEUMS AND WAREHOUSESWith financing from National resources and having as the main priority the upgrading of the image and the functionality of the archaeological sites and monuments of the Ephoria and the improvement of the services provided to the millions of visitors, dozens of infrastructure improvement and expansion projects were carried out.
  - SUPERVISION OF ESPA PROJECTS OF OTHER OPERATORS
- DESIGN PROJECTS OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES, MUSEUMS AND WAREHOUSESWith financing from National resources and having as the main priority the upgrading of the image and the functionality of the archaeological sites and monuments of the Ephoria and the improvement of the services provided to the millions of visitors, dozens of infrastructure improvement and expansion projects were carried out.
- EXCAVATIONSThe Ephorate of Antiquities of Athens during the period November 2014-January 2018 carried out a large number of rescue excavations for the protection of antiquities discovered during excavations for the construction of private or public technical works of the buildings, with important findings, which offered interesting data for the knowledge of the ancient topography of the city of Athens (cult, fortification and residential architecture, burial remains, laboratory complexes).
- CONSERVATIONIn the context of the assumption of responsibility for the maintenance of the monuments of the largest part of the basin of Athens by the Maintenance Department of the EFA.ATH. a total of seven maintenance laboratories were operated, re-operated or established.
