Improvement of guest service infrastructure

Upgrade of entrances and guest service infrastructure<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, TAPA, in collaboration with the Ephorate, designed the new entrance to the Archaeological Site of Olympia and built a ticket office, a TAPA goods store (casts, books, etc.), as well as a refreshment room,
with sanitary facilities and a warehouse. Construction works were also carried out in the area of \u200b\u200bthe central entrance of the Ancient Agora on Adrianou Street 24. They included paving, installation of new entrance seating areas, installation of
a fountain, replacement of part of the fence, painting of the entrance fence, sanitation-grouting of the stonework of the descent ramp to the archaeological site, replacement of a sign entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same spirit of upgrading the visitor service infrastructure, in collaboration with TAPA, the first systems of the new electronic tickets and cancellation machines were installed in the Acropolis, the Southern Slope and the Olympia. In order to provide broadband services to visitors and within the framework of the Cultural Sponsorship of OTE and COSMOTE to the YPPOA, 19 low-noise stations were installed in a total of 11 locations in the archaeological sites of the Acropolis, its slopes and the Ancient Agora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work was also carried out to replace the old wooden staircase in Hadrian’s Library with the aim of improving access to the archaeological site. Finally, works were carried out to replace the old wooden staircase
of the Propylaea of \u200b\u200bthe Acropolis and in Hadrian’s Library with the aim of improving access to the archaeological sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
