The effort made by all the staff of the Maintenance Department to clean and restore the monuments from the recurring phenomenon of graffiti was important. The vandalism of central or non-central monuments of the city is dealt with on a daily basis immediately and always as a priority, so that they are removed immediately and the protection of the Monuments is ensured. The gate of Hadrian, the monument of Lysikrates, the Stoa of Attalos, Areios Pagos, the door of the Medrese, the temple of Kapnikarea, Panagia Gorgoepikoos, are indicative of some of the monuments that have been abused with graffiti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
