“Protection and Restoration of the Court of the Klepsydra on the North Slope of the Acropolis”<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The intervention in the context of the specific project at the source of the Klepsydra, on the northwestern edges of the rock of the Acropolis, initially included the maintenance of the surface of all the stones of the floor and the walls of the courtyard, the structural restoration of part of the eastern wall, the filling of the damaged by the rocks of the central part of the floor, where however the Roman period conduit remained visible and highlighted, as well as the arrangement of the rainwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, fixing works were carried out both on the precarious rock masses in the area of \u200b\u200bKlepsydra, as well as on the overlying caves of Apollo and Zeus. In the vaulted building, grouting was applied to the visible load-bearing elements and grouting to the cracks, waterproofing to the roof, sanitation and completion of the missing optical brick structure in the dome and the side wall of the entrance, and rescue fixing of the murals. In the context of highlighting the monument, a metal staircase was built for the controlled access of visitors to the vaulted building, a rope was installed and two new information signs were placed.<\/p>\n\n\n
